We’re going ‘Quackers’!

I am so excited to be able to share with you a smashing event we have coming up at the Hotel. You are invited to join us on a very unusual hunt … not for ancient hidden treasure … but for ducks!
300 of our golf mad rubber ducks will be taking a quick and refreshing dip in the Old Course Hotel pond on Saturday the 9th of July before flying off on their summer holidays – with you!
Members of the public are invited to come and ‘catch a duck’ from 11.00am on Saturday the 9th of July. All successful duck catchers will be entered in to a free competition to win a fabulous two night family stay at the five red star resort with luxury kids amenities, a helicopter ride over St Andrews and beyond, tickets to the Scottish Deer Centre and golf lessons for all the family. All catchers have to do is to take their freshly caught duck with them and post the pictures of their duck on holiday with them on the Hotel facebook or twitter, making sure that all pictures are sent in by the 15th of August when the draw will be announced. The duck on the most fun and interesting summer holiday will win it’s owner the star prize and 3 lucky runners up can choose from a selection of prizes including a family golf lesson, luxury kids afternoon tea or lunch for all the family in the Jigger.
Aside from the Duck Hunt there will be so many fun things to do around the resort on 9th of July including a kids area with face-painting and ballooning as well as kids golf lessons and afternoon tea to a family lunch in the Jigger, we are expecting it to be a busy day so I would suggest booking these activities in advance – this promises to be a fun day out for all the family!
Those who can’t make it to St Andrews need not despair. 25 of the ducks will be hiding in special locations around the country. Look out for a duck in a historic or iconic Scottish place near you on the same day. Those lucky enough to find one of these special ducks will also receive special spot prizes from the award winning resort when they email in a picture of the duck in that location! Locations clues will be released on twitter and facebook on the 5th.
